Appointment System
If you require an appointment with a GP, nurse or other healthcare practitioners, please book an appointment by using the NHS App, or complete an online form. If you have no online access, you can call us instead.
If you need to see a doctor or a nurse of your choice, this appointment time may take longer. Advance booking is available.
We may contact you over the telephone for your initial or follow-up appointment, please note you may be called from a withheld number.
Extended Hours - evening or weekend appointment
To book an evening or weekend appointment at the local hub (Petersfield Avenue), please visit the following booking site: Book an appointment
Once booked, the location of your appointment will be at our local hub: Petersfield Surgery, 70 Petersfield Ave, Romford RM3 9PD
Availability: Weekdays: 6:30 pm till 10pm, Saturdays: 9am till 5pm
If you need help in booking, or need to cancel call our reception.
Appointment must be booked online, prior to attending the hub, as there is no walk-in-service.
Telephone Consultations
Patients who urgently need to speak to a doctor or do not need to see a doctor are encouraged to ring 01708 343004 between 08:30 – 10:00 and 16:00 – 17:00 and talk to the doctor on call.
Kindly note we do not provide medical certificates on emergency appointments or over the telephone, we do however back-date certificates if necessary.
Cancel appointments if unable to attend
Inform the reception as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your appointment, so we can offer this slot to another patient in need.
The easiest way to cancel appointments is via NHS App.
You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form (only for appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance.
You can also text to cancel your appointment via appointment reminder.
Home Visits
If possible contact reception before 10:00 if you require a home visit.
A doctor or nurse may phone you back during or after the morning surgery. It may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or it would be more appropriate to send a community nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital admission.
Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
Text Reminder Service
We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.
To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.
Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.
