Appointments
Our expectation is for patients to be seen within 48-72hours for a doctor and 24-48 hours for a nurse. If you require to see a doctor or a nurse of your choice, this appointment time may be longer. Advance booking is available. This can be done online provided you have registered and received your token. Please speak to reception if in doubt.
A lot of our appointments now are initially done over the telephone. Please note you will be called from a withheld number.
We now have online appointment booking available, you have to come into the surgery to register with your identification and proof of address and complete a form. You will also need to have your own email address for this service. If you need any more information please contact reception on 01708 331802.
Extended Hours
We now offer evening appointments on a Monday or a Tuesday from 6.30pm to 7.45pm to help out our patients that cannot get here during the day.
Telephone consultations
Patients who urgently need to speak to a doctor and do not need to see a doctor, are encouraged to ring and talk to the doctor on call. 01708 343004 8.30 - 10.00 and 16.00 - 17.00
Urgent Appointments
You will not be able to see a doctor of your choice. We request that you first find out the earliest available appointment and only if your condition is so urgent that it cannot wait till then, request to be seen as an emergency.
There are a few morning telephone 'book on the day' appointments available, otherwise patients who need to see a doctor urgently will have to come to the surgery before 10:00 and wait. They will be seen at the earliest opportunity after arrival. As there are more doctors available in the morning patients are encouraged to attend then. Although some appointments are available in the evening before 18:00, but we encourage you to arrive between 16:00 and 17:00.
Kindly note we do not provide medical certificates on emergency appointments or over the telephone, we do however back-date certificates if necessary. You will be sent a warning letter if you do not follow the practice policy.
Receptionists
There will be at least two receptionists on duty. Their main purpose is to make appointments for the surgeries and clinics, and to deal with the requests for home visits and repeat prescriptions.
